1) Customer management
As part of our customer management, we process your identification data (name, title, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, e-mail address, customer number), a number of financial data (payment method, bank account number) and we keep your purchase history and any appointments, messages or questions to us.
This information allows us to process your orders or purchases and appointments correctly and to communicate with you in a smooth way and to answer your questions. We can also help you better with possible returns. If you are a member of our loyalty program and want to enjoy its benefits, we need your details to transfer the points to your account. After a purchase, we can also contact you to gauge your satisfaction. If you have participated in one of our competitions, we can contact you that way.
The legal basis for this processing is the performance of an agreement to which you are a party or to answer any questions prior to entering into an agreement (art.6, §1, (b) GDPR).
We obtain this personal data directly from you, for example by reading your electronic identity card in a store or when you create an account on our website.
For our customer management, we keep your personal data up to 10 years after your last purchase.
We only share this personal data with third parties with whom we collaborate in the context of our customer management (IT and software providers and the courier service).
2) Direct marketing
For direct marketing, we process your identification data (name, title, address, telephone number, email address, IP address, cookies), a number of personal characteristics (gender, date of birth, native language), your purchase history and browsing history. On the Petoetje website you can also enter the identification data (name) and personal characteristics (gender, date of birth) of your child (ren).
This information allows us to send you communications by email, post, SMS and telephone and to show you online advertisements. In this way we can keep you informed of our offers and the latest trends or novelties.
We also use your data to personalize our communications (e.g. based on your gender, place of residence or frequently purchased brands). That way we can provide you with tips that are completely tailored to your needs.
The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest in promoting our products and services to our customers (art.6, §1, (b) GDPR). If you are not a customer, you will only receive our communications if you have given your consent for this, e.g. by subscribing to a newsletter via one of our websites (art.6, §1, (a) GDPR). Online advertisements can only be seen if you have consented to the placing of advertising cookies (for more information, see Cookie statement).
We always obtain this personal data directly from you.
We send communications up to 6 years after your last purchase. You can of course always unsubscribe earlier (for more information, see Rights). The consent for advertising cookies can also be withdrawn at any time via your cookie preferences (for more information, see Cookie statement).
We only share this personal data with third parties with whom we collaborate for direct marketing (IT and software providers and providers of marketing tools).
3) Optimization of the websites
We process your identification data (IP address and cookies) for the optimization of our websites.
These data allow us to offer a well-functioning and user-friendly website and, if necessary, webshop.
The legal basis for placing technically essential and functional cookies is a legitimate interest in being able to offer a well-functioning and user-friendly website and webshop (art.6, §1, (f) GDPR). We only share this personal data with third parties with whom we work together for the website and webshop concerned (IT and software providers).
4) Camera surveillance
Our shop is equipped with CCTV. When you come to shop with us, images of you are registered.
The purpose of camera surveillance is solely to guarantee security in our stores and to prevent theft.
Camera surveillance is clearly indicated in the shops with the familiar pictogram. When you shop with us, you are deemed to have agreed to the registration of your images.
The images are kept for a maximum of 30 days, unless we need them longer as evidence of a crime or nuisance.
We only share these images with the police forces and judicial authorities if necessary.
3. SECURITY
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality of your personal data and to protect your data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access.
We have made the necessary contractual agreements with the third parties with whom we work and will not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area without the guarantee that your data will also enjoy an equivalent level of protection there.
