To choose the right hat size, measure the circumference of the head. Use a soft measuring tape for this (or a piece of string, which you can measure later with a ruler, for example). Place the measure around the head - across the middle of the forehead, above the tips of the ears. Check how many centimeters your baby's head is. This is the size of the cap that should fit best. Bearing in mind that the head circumference also depends on the sex of the child - girls usually need slightly smaller hats than boys.
